Thursday February 12th - Duncan Bannatyne
I was lucky enough to spend some time with Duncan Bannatyne this week and we were talking about 'giving back', and he said, "I hate the term giving back, because it suggests I took something in the first place - which I didn't!"
And I agree totally with him - the suggestion that entrepreneurs may have taken something is a false one because in order to be a successful business person you need to take full and complete responsibility for yourself and certainly your finances - and that type of person never takes from others because they don't believe in it and they don't need to.
However, what they DO believe in is philanthropy and sharing because every wealthy person I have ever met understands that wealth is a flow to be shared. They understand that wealth is abundant and that there is no fundamental scarcity - and that frankly is why they are wealthy in the first place - wealth is a matter of starting with an abundant mindset - so if you are struggling with your finances, work on your belief first and then the money - you'll be more successful that way.
